IRG Achieves ISO 14001 Certification

WASHINGTON, March 8, 2004 - International Resources Group (IRG), an international professional services firm based in Washington, DC, has earned an ISO 14001 Certificate of Registration from the environmental auditing firm, National Quality Assurance, USA. This is a culmination of efforts over the past two years to plan, document, and implement a corporate Environmental Management System (EMS)
that is fully compliant with the international standard.

ISO 14001 certification constitutes formal recognition of companies that manage
their operations to minimize the impact on the environment. To achieve ISO 14001 certification, IRG developed and continues to implement an EMS program that systematically addresses federal and local environmental regulatory compliance, as well as initiatives in waste reduction, pollution prevention, and energy conservation.

IRG's decision to seek certification was a natural one, according to IRG President and CEO Asif Shaikh.

"We are very pleased to receive this important industry certification," said Shaikh.
"It demonstrates that we practice what we espouse to our clients; we are serious about our commitment to minimize our impact on the environment. Operation under the
ISO 14001 standard is a team effort and our employees at IRG worked very hard to achieve certification. It engages all staff in a common goal to minimize waste, conserve resources, and reduce energy consumption."

Currently instituted at IRG's US office locations, plans are underway to extend this system to offsite project and regional offices around the world. As IRG's EMS expands and matures, notices of new activities and accomplishments will be made public.

IRG helps governments, the private sector, communities, and households manage critical resources to build a cleaner, safer, and more prosperous world. Since 1978, IRG has completed over 600 contracts in more than 125 countries, delivering high-quality, cost-effective services that promote positive economic growth, institutional and social change, and intelligent use of resources-human, physical, environmental, financial. Headquartered in the Washington, DC, IRG also has corporate offices in India, Indonesia, and the Philippines, and 20 project-dedicated offices around the world.
